Jozani Forest & Red Colobus Monkeys

Day 1: Jozani Forest Nature Walk

Morning pickup from Stone Town or beach hotels. Drive to Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park (45 minutes). Guided nature walk through the last remaining indigenous forest in Zanzibar. Spot endemic Zanzibar red colobus monkeys (only found in Zanzibar) - observe them feeding and playing in the trees. Walk through mangrove forest on elevated boardwalk. Spot butterflies, birds, and other wildlife. Learn about the unique ecosystem and conservation efforts. Optional lunch at a local restaurant. Return to hotel in the afternoon.
