Day 1: Prison Island Visit

Morning boat departure from Stone Town harbor. 30-minute boat ride to Changuu Island (Prison Island). Explore historic prison ruins built in the 1890s (never used as a prison). Visit the giant Aldabra tortoise sanctuary - interact with tortoises over 100 years old. Learn about the island's history. Snorkeling from the beautiful white sand beach (equipment rental available). Swimming and beach relaxation. Optional lunch at the island restaurant. Return boat to Stone Town in the afternoon.
